Martina Sansavini, DDS

Overall Scientific Leadership & Interdisciplinary Direction

Martina Sansavini is the Founder and Scientific Director of PerioMed Global and the originator of the initiative’s scientific vision, multidisciplinary framework and strategic development.

A dentist and researcher working across periodontology, oral-systemic health and translational research, she conceived PerioMed Global as an international platform designed to connect periodontal and medical sciences through evidence-based content, interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific communication. She defines the initiative’s overall scientific direction, develops its strategic priorities, coordinates the integration of the scientific teams, and oversees the development of research, educational and international collaborative activities.

Her role is to ensure the scientific coherence, long-term development and evolution of PerioMed Global as a multidisciplinary initiative at the interface between oral and systemic health.

Giorgia Pieretto, DDS

Oral & Periodontal Sciences Team Scientific Coordinator

Giorgia Pieretto is a Founding Board Member of PerioMed Global and serves as the Scientific Coordinator of the Oral & Periodontal Sciences Team, contributing to the development and coordination of its scientific activities.

A dentist and researcher involved in periodontology, oral-systemic health and scientific publishing, she coordinates with the Scientific Director the activities of the Oral & Periodontal Sciences Team, supports the development and review of evidence-based content, helps define topic priorities within the oral-health area, and facilitates contributions across the team. She also contributes to scientific writing, interdisciplinary projects and the development of educational and research initiatives within PerioMed Global.

Medical Sciences Scientific Coordinator & Expert Engagement

Hamail Fazil is a Founding Board Member of PerioMed Global and serves as the Scientific Coordinator of the Medical Sciences Team, contributing to the development and coordination of its scientific activities.

A medical student and emerging researcher involved in medical research, interdisciplinary collaboration and international scientific engagement, she coordinates with the Scientific Director the Medical Sciences Team, supports the development and review of scientific content, helps define scientific priorities, and facilitates contributions across the team. She also supports international expert engagement by building connections with clinicians and researchers worldwide and contributing to expert interviews, scientific discussions and collaborative initiatives.

Muhammad Hamood

Prevention, Public Health & Education Coordinator

Muhammad Hamood is a Founding Board Member of PerioMed Global and serves as the Coordinator of the Prevention, Public Health & Education Team, contributing to the development and coordination of its scientific and community-focused activities.

A medical student and researcher committed to bridging the gap between quality healthcare and underserved communities, he coordinates with the Scientific Director the activities of the Prevention, Public Health & Education Team, supports the development and review of evidence-based prevention and educational content, helps define public-health priorities, and facilitates contributions across the team. He also contributes to Awareness Days, community-health initiatives, medical outreach and youth-development programmes designed to connect scientific knowledge with meaningful public engagement.

Ahmed Ibrahim, DDS

Scientific Networking, Communication & Oral Health Expert Engagement

Ahmed Ibrahim is a Founding Board Member of PerioMed Global and contributes to scientific communication, professional networking and expert engagement within the Oral & Periodontal Sciences Team.

A dentist involved in scientific communication and content development, he supports the creation and editorial development of evidence-based resources while helping build relationships with clinicians, researchers, speakers and oral-health experts. He contributes to identifying and engaging specialists for interviews, scientific conversations and collaborative activities, and supports the growth of the professional community connected with the team's work.

Las Latif Hussain, MD

Research Literature & Scientific Writing

Las Latif Hussain is a Founding Board Member of PerioMed Global and contributes to scientific research, evidence review and medical content development within the Medical Sciences Team.

A physician and researcher with an interest in medical literature and scientific communication, he supports the identification and critical review of relevant evidence, the development of scientifically rigorous content and interdisciplinary projects connecting oral and systemic health. He also contributes to scientific writing, topic development and future research and educational initiatives within PerioMed Global.

Emiliana D'Angelo

Evidence-Based Oral Health Education & Community Outreach

Emiliana D'Angelo is a Founding Board Member of PerioMed Global and contributes to public-health communication, educational development and expert engagement within the Prevention, Public Health & Education area.

A dental student and researcher with a strong interest in prevention and education, she supports the development of evidence-based oral-health initiatives and translates scientific knowledge into clear, engaging materials for communities. She is particularly interested in oral-health promotion for children and younger audiences, and helps identify and engage prevention and public-health experts for interviews, educational activities, scientific conversations and future collaborative initiatives.
