PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

Privacy Policy

This notice explains how PerioMed Global handles personal data submitted through this website, particularly through the Join the Team application form.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

01

Who is responsible for your data

PerioMed Global is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. The initiative is represented by its Founder and Scientific Director, Martina Sansavini, DDS.

For privacy questions or requests, contact info@periomedglobal.org.

02

Information we collect

When you submit a team application, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, country, current role or field of study, area of interest, professional introduction, motivation, skills and availability, and—if you choose to provide them—links to a professional profile or CV.

We may also process limited technical information needed for the security and operation of the website, such as request and error logs.

Please do not include health information, identity documents or other sensitive personal data in free-text fields or linked documents unless specifically requested.

03

Why and how we use it

We use application data solely to receive, assess and respond to expressions of interest; understand a candidate’s background and possible contribution; communicate about the application; and protect the integrity and security of the application process.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you submit the form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before it was withdrawn.

Submitting an application does not guarantee appointment or membership. No decision producing legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means.

04

Who can access the information

Access is limited to authorised PerioMed Global members involved in reviewing applications and administering the initiative, on a need-to-know basis.

Cloudflare provides the website hosting, database and email-delivery infrastructure used to receive and store submissions and send application notifications. Other service providers may process data only where needed to operate links or documents that you choose to provide.

We do not sell personal data and do not share application information for advertising or unrelated purposes. Information may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

05

International processing and security

PerioMed Global is international, and its authorised collaborators or service providers may operate in countries outside your own. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on applicable legal safeguards and service-provider commitments designed to protect it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to restrict access and protect information against loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure. No online system can, however, guarantee absolute security.

06

How long we keep it

Applications that do not lead to an active collaboration are normally retained for no longer than 12 months after submission, unless you ask us to delete them earlier or a longer period is required to resolve a legal or security matter.

If you join PerioMed Global, relevant information may be retained for the duration of the collaboration and afterwards only as necessary for administration, record-keeping and legal obligations.

07

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; receive data you provided in a portable format; or withdraw your consent.

To exercise a right, email info@periomedglobal.org. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country, including the Italian Data Protection Authority where applicable.

08

Cookies and policy updates

This website does not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. Strictly necessary technologies may be used to provide access, maintain security and operate site functions.

We may update this policy when the website, application process or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will always be published on this page.
